Bayern Munich's Ivica Olic returns to training following eight-month absence

Bayern Munich striker Ivica Olic has returned to training for the first time since October following surgery to an injured knee.

The 31-year-old striker suffered meniscus and cartilage damage to his left knee eight months ago and missed the rest of Bayern's campaign.

Speaking to Bayern TV, the Croatian forward confirmed his delight at being able to get himself back on course following the long-term absence.

"I have waited almost eight months to train with the team again and I am very happy to have gone through the whole session," Olic said.
