Kaizer Chiefs boss Kaizer Motaung not interested in Diyo Sibisi

Kaizer Chiefs boss Kaizer Motaung has shot down talk that they want to sign Ajax Cape Town forward Diyo Sibisi.

Sibisi, who spent last season on loan to Maritzburg United where he helped the club survive relegation, has been linked with a move to the Amakhosi, having been transfer-listed by Ajax last week.

But Motaung says they only need one quality striker, and AmaZulu striker Lehlohonolo Majoro is on the verge of joining them after agreeing personal terms last week.

"We are beefing up one or two areas. The defence looks okay. We need to get one quality striker, which the coach and the manager are working on right now. Maybe in couple of weeks we can make an announcement,” he said, according to Kickoff.com.

Motaung also reveals that they want to challenge for the League title next season.

“We always target the League and we always want to make sure that we win other trophies as well. That’s why we need to beef up our squad.

“We need a squad that is not only good enough for our domestic league, but is good enough internationally."
