City stand firm on Tevez valuation

Carlos Tevez once again looks like having to return to Manchester City after the Blues rejected Corinthians' £40m bid for their skipper.

Faced with the prospect of having to splash out £45m to get Sergio Aguero in from Atletico Madrid as Tevez's replacement, City are refusing to budge from their £50m valuation of the player.

So, unless a compromise can be reached - and City have given no indication of an intention to yield, Tevez will have to return to the newly renamed Etihad Stadium once he has had a short break after the ongoing Copa America.
